What is NITAAC?

NITAAC is a federal Executive Agent authorized by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to administer three Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) for information technology procurement. CIO-SP3, CIO-SP3 Small Business and ECS III can be used by any federal civilian or DoD agency to acquire information technology products, services and solutions. The office is housed within HHS at the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC).

NITAAC News and Announcements

NITAAC is pleased to announce that the Sources Sought and Draft RFP for Chief Information Officer – Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS) has been released to FedBizOpps. This new GWAC will replace the ECS III GWAC, and will include next generation IT commodity solutions and commodity-enabling services. CIO-CS is open to all qualified contractors. We encourage all contractors and government customers who wish to comment or ask questions to follow the directions in the solicitation (link below), as your input will be used to shape the final RFP. All questions and/or comments must be received no later than 10:00 am EST on Monday, April 8, 2013. To view the draft RFP in its entirety, please click here.

Effective February 1, 2013, NITAAC has instituted a fee cap of $150,000 for any task order base or optional period (not to exceed 12 months) with funding in excess of $15 million under CIO-SP3, and $20 million under CIO-SP3 Small Business.

The NCAF reimburses NIH for the cost of operating and administering the NITAAC Program as it provides for streamlined ordering procedures, efficient acquisition support and training, and superior customer support for all federal agencies.

NITAAC is pleased to announce the extension of the ECS III GWAC for one year through November 25, 2014. That means you can continue to order IT products and related fixed-price services as we work to develop a new, follow-on products/services GWAC. New delivery orders issued under ECS III will offer you the same options as before, up to and including a 5-year period of performance.
