Introducing a new NITAAC GWAC: Chief Information Officer – Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS)

NITAAC is pleased to announce that the Sources Sought and Draft RFP for Chief Information Officer – Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS) has been released to FedBizOpps. This new GWAC will replace the ECS III GWAC, and will include next generation IT commodity solutions and commodity-enabling services. CIO-CS is open to all qualified contractors. We encourage all contractors and government customers who wish to comment or ask questions to follow the directions in the solicitation (link below), as your input will be used to shape the final RFP. NITAAC Caps Fee on CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business

Effective February 1, 2013, NITAAC has instituted a fee cap of $150,000 for any task order base or optional period (not to exceed 12 months) with funding in excess of $15 million under CIO-SP3, and $20 million under CIO-SP3 Small Business.

The NCAF reimburses NIH for the cost of operating and administering the NITAAC Program as it provides for streamlined ordering procedures, efficient acquisition support and training, and superior customer support for all federal agencies.

ECS III Extended for One Year

NITAAC is pleased to announce the extension of the ECS III GWAC for one year through November 25, 2013. That means you can continue to order IT products and related fixed-price services as we work to develop a new, follow-on products/services GWAC. New delivery orders issued under ECS III will offer you the same options as before, up to and including a 5-year period of performance.

Robert Coen honored with FedScoop 50 Federal Leadership Award

FedScoop honored federal technology leaders, innovators and rising stars at the first annual FedScoop 50 Awards on Wednesday, October 28, 2012 at a ceremony held at the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C. More than 150 attendees came from throughout government, including the White House, Department of Defense and civilian agencies, along with industry leaders. Robert Coen, NITAAC Acting Director, was among the Federal Leaders selected to receive an award. “I am honored by this recognition for the NITAAC Program,” said Coen.

Mary Armstead Moving Up. Rob Coen Named Acting Director.

Mary Armstead, Program Director for the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NTAAC) has been appointed Acting Associate Director for the NIH Office of Logistics and Acquisition Policy Management (OAMP), reporting directly to Ms. Diane Fraiser, Director of the NIH Office of Logistics and Acquisition Management (OALM) and Head of the Contracting Activity, effective October 1, 2012.

NITAAC Completes Small Business Category Of CIO-SP3 Small Business Awards

The NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center announces CIO-SP3 (Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners) Small Business awards are complete in the Small Business Category, with the total number of Prime Contract Holders reaching eighty-nine (89). Awards to Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned and 8(a) concerns have already been announced. The program intends to issue additional awards under the HUBZone category of this Government-Wide Acquisition Contract, which has a ceiling of $20 billion.

NITAAC Announces CIO-SP3 Awards

The NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) announces that CIO-SP3 (Chief Information Officers - Solutions and Partners 3) awards have been made to 54 contract holders. This 10-year multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) is open to all federal civilian and DoD agencies who require information technology (IT) services and solutions, providing them with a mechanism to quickly and efficiently satisfy new and emerging IT requirements.
