Outdated and legacy IT is a growing problem for almost every agency, as costs of ownership continue to rise and budgets fall or remain stagnant. To combat this problem, the government has highlighted Smarter IT Delivery as a Cross-Agency Priority goal, and is leveraging legislation such as the recently enacted Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) and the proposed $3.1 billion IT Modernization Fund to give agencies the resources they need to streamline the acquisition process. As one of the federal government’s top sources for everything IT, the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) has taken that message of modernization to heart and is proud to launch a refreshed experience that will change how agencies acquire new technology.
For over 20 years, NITAAC has been dedicated to delivering the best IT services and solutions to agencies government-wide, providing every agency with an effective, but streamlined acquisition process so they have the tools they need to get back to the mission at hand. Now, NITAAC is unveiling its refreshed brand aesthetic, which reflects how we are reimagining acquisition through our three streamlined Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs). These GWACs provide any agency, government-wide, with an easy and accessible method for acquiring the modernized technology that they need to realize even more effective citizen service or mission delivery.
Upon visiting the reimagined NITAAC website, the first thing you will notice is the clean look and feel. We have designed our new website with you, the user, in mind so that you can find the resources you need to get your next IT procurement off the ground and moving. To this end, we have enhanced our search capabilities for tools, templates, events and contract holders, making it even easier for you to easily access the information you need. And because the federal workforce is becoming increasingly mobile, we have incorporated all of these changes into a flexible and responsive design that is accessible from any device so that the information you need is always at your fingertips.
Complementing these new improvements are our longstanding value-added features – the electronic Government Ordering System (e-GOS) and our Assisted Acquisitions program. These ease-of-access features are in place to help seamlessly transition you from the research phase all the way through the final procurement. Using built-in guidance and automated task order completion, e-GOS makes pre-soliciting, competing and awarding orders a hassle-free process that is fully compliant with all fair opportunity requirements. And if your agency would prefer even more detailed guidance throughout the acquisition process, our Assisted Acquisitions program is ready to pair you with an experienced Contracting Officer capable of giving you the best possible fit, as dictated by your agency-specific needs.
As federal agencies look to modernize the outdated legacy systems that are ravenously consuming their budgets, they need look no further than the newly reimagined NITAAC website. Through our CIO-SP3, CIO-CP3 Small Business and CIO-CS GWACs, any government agency can find virtually any IT solution or service with newly-recognized speed and accessibility.
