The Library of Congress (LOC) will be hosting its annual cyber security awareness day during the month of October. The 2018 Cyber Exposition is an important part of employee continuing education, and the libraries outreach efforts to connect with the cyber and tech industries. The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress, and is the home of the United States Copyright Office. With 833 miles of shelving, the LOC is the largest library in the world, with millions of books, manuscripts, photographs, and other documents in its collections.
The Library's mission is to support the Congress in fulfilling its constitutional research duties, host the Congressional Law Library, establish and promote innovation in the copyright office, and facilitate national and international outreach. Through these endeavors, the LOC furthers the progress of knowledge and creativity for the American people.
