The CDC has already trusted NITAAC with more than $1.6 Billion*. We think it has just as much to do with client care as healthcare.

As part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), NITAAC and its Contract Holders are poised to respond to the strategic objectives outlined by HHS in its adherence to the Federal Health Architecture. In fact, through Task Area 1, all NITAAC Contract Holders are required to have past performance in Health IT. That means our Contract Holders have the ability to help the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) collect, measure and analyze a growing pool of health information technology (HIT). As the CDC takes advantage of agile approaches combined with continuous experimentation, feedback and learning, success will depend on quickly acquiring IT products and services that support your five-point IT Strategic Plan including 1) Modernization, 2) Enhancement, 3) Advancement, 4) IT Workforce Development, and 5) IT Investment and Governance.

There is one family of Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicles within a sister HHS agency you can always turn to for help. It’s NITAAC, the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center, and we've already processed more than 700 CDC task orders valued at over $1.6 Billion. NITAAC is ready for the future, with:

  • Assisted Acquisition Services administered and awarded by Contracting Officers and specialists who were among the first to receive the new, mandatory, FAC-C Digital Services (DS) Certifications, which are now required on orders for the management of digital services over the FAR Subpart 13.500(c) commercial items threshold
  • GWACs featuring rigorously pre-vetted Contract Holders recognized for IT innovations as well as many having their FedRAMP certifications
  • CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business GWACs have been extended through 10/29/26. Any task orders issued can have up to a 5-year period of performance, taking clients well into FY31.

NITAAC will do whatever it takes to ensure our customers always have a NITAAC vehicle that can handle their requirements. While we hope we can avoid another extension, we are prepared to get one if circumstances dictate. Please check with us before making any comparable IT obligations.

How NITAAC has helped CDC drive health information technology transformation.

When you look through the CDC Task and Delivery Orders listed here\, you’ll see that NITAAC supports the Federal Health IT Strategic Plan outlined by HHS: to promote health and wellness; enhance delivery and experience of care; build a secure, data-driven ecosystem to accelerate research and innovation; and to connect health care and health data. We’re also ready to meet the President’s recent Executive Orders as threats to our supply chain and climate change grow more acute. Whether you need simple legacy operations and maintenance, as-a-service managed commodities, or complex enterprise-wide cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, NITAAC GWACs are the one to call for:
