Public Health Laboratory Interoperability Support

SAIC is helping the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the exchange of lab data in the identification and reporting of disease conditions. We are developing a standards-based architecture to continue progress toward full interoperability among public health laboratories and between public health laboratories and healthcare providers. The goal of this high-profile effort within the CDC is to develop the infrastructure to support laboratory electronic test orders and test results between public health partners.
