The .gov means it’s official.

Non-developmental item (NDI) hardware and software consists of a system that has been previously developed for use by federal, state, local, or a foreign government and requires no further development. An NDI item may require minor modifications or modifications of the type customarily available in the commercial marketplace to meet FAA requirements.
