The Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) has received $225 million through the annual budget process and $1 Billion through the American Rescue Plan to fund modernization projects. To date 45 projects across 27 agencies have been funded. In addition to the TMF projects, agencies are working to create a more modern environment.

CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business are good choices for agencies looking to develop innovative solutions based on cutting-edge technology. The program includes 137 different labor categories (more can be added at the task order level), and supports almost every contract type in the FAR.

CIO-CS, on the other hand, provides easy access to a wide range of commodities and commodity-based solutions (like managed services) that can be deployed either on premise or in the cloud. The offerings are always current, with a Technology Refresh Process that enables product updates to be added as soon as they become available. The contract includes both original equipment manufacturers and value-added resellers.
