Bridget Gauer, NITAAC acting director, recently appeared on WJLA’s Government Matters to discuss her vision for NITAAC moving forward, as well as its plans for the end of the fiscal year. During the segment, Bridget outlined her vision for positioning NITAAC as a premiere resource for contracting officers, and shared how NITAAC helps federal civilian and DoD customers streamline the acquisition process.

Business in governmentwide acquisition contracts is booming, with agency buyers turning to the large-scale vehicles for price breaks and convenience. [..] The National Institutes of Health IT Acquisition and Assessment Center, which oversees three big GWACs, has seen 30,000 orders this year, an increase of about 10 percent, said Charles Hicks, a NITAAC branch chief.
