Department of Interior

DOI Intro
DOI Paragraph

While you’ve been working to conserve resources and power our future, who’s been powering yours?

NITAAC is proud to serve the information technology transformation of the Department of the Interior (DOI) as you work to overcome multiple overlapping crises including the development of renewable energy on public lands and waters, strengthening gov-to-gov relationships with sovereign Tribal Nations, making investments to support the Administration’s goal of creating good middle-class jobs, working to conserve 30% of our lands and waters by the year 2030, and centering on equity and environmental justice. We have a proven track record of helping DOI achieve mission goals across what are sometimes competing bureaus and agencies:

  • Already support almost $600M* in DOI obligations on three NITAAC GWACs.
  • Are ready to help support DOI over and above our signed agreement to handle Assisted Acquisitions overflow.
  • Assisted Acquisitions Services orders are administered and awarded by Contracting Officers and specialists who were among the first to receive the new, mandatory, FAC-C Digital Services (DS) Certifications, which are now required on orders for the management of digital services over the FAR Subpart 13.500(c) commercial items threshold.
  • Rigorously pre- Contract Holders recognized for IT innovations with many having FedRAMP certifications.
  • CIO-SP3 and all CIO-SP3 Small Business GWACs have been extended through 4/29/25. Any task orders issued can have up to a 5-year period of performance, taking clients well into FY30.

NITAAC will do whatever it takes to assure our customers always have a NITAAC vehicle that can handle their requirements. While we hope we can avoid another extension, we are prepared to get one if circumstances dictate. Please check with us before making any comparable IT obligations.

How NITAAC has helped DOI conserve dollars for information technology

When you look through the DOI Task and Delivery Orders listed here, you’ll see that NITAAC supports needs identified in the FITARA Common Baseline. And we’re ready to meet the President’s recent Executive Orders as threats to our supply chain and climate change grow more acute. Whether you need simple legacy operations and maintenance, as-a-service managed commodity solutions, or complex enterprise-wide cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, NITAAC GWACs are the one to call for:

  • Meeting all of your information technology needs in one place with NITAAC Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs): CIO-SP3  and CIO-SP3 Small Business for IT Services/Solutions and CIO-CS for IT Commodities/Solutions
  • Purchasing commonly used commodities with Government-Wide Strategic Solutions (GSS), a subset of CIO-CS that meets all category management tiers and goals
  • Getting help from Assisted Acquisitions with the lowest fee (2% of total obligation)
  • Awarding Task Orders, on average, in 45 days or less; Delivery Orders in only 10 days
  • Getting free Technical Assessments on every task order, turned around in only 2 business days
  • Using NITAAC’s Electronic Government Ordering System (e-GOS) to meet Fair Opportunity Requirements, order more easily and get 3-5 responses on most orders
  • Using downselects and other creative contracting methods under FAR Subpart 16.505 to streamline competition, save money and make ordering much faster
