U.S. Department of the Army
NITAAC supports the Army's Strategy of readiness, modernization and reform.
Since NITAAC was founded as part of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), our federal contracting organization has been key to providing the Departments of Army and Defense with all aspects of information technology (IT) products, services and solutions. From 2013 right up until present-day, you’ll find NITAAC has fulfilled 120 Task or Delivery Orders throughout various agencies within the Department of Army as we help them to fulfill their vision, strategy and tactics.
NITAAC acts as a supplement to Army CHESS. We understand that there are times when the Army needs a quick delivery. With NITAAC’s streamlined acquisition process, CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business, on average, can award a task order within 30 to 45 days. As for products and managed services, a delivery order can be awarded, on average, within only 10 days.
As your acquisition portfolio continues to grow and transform through once-in-a-decade change, one thing remains constant: NITAAC Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicles. Whether you need artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, interoperability, ruggedized equipment, or cloud solutions, our Contract Holders can meet your requirements today and tomorrow. A closer look at our history reveals that NITAAC:
- Supports the DoD Small Business mandate with 300+ Contract Holders in 5 socioeconomic categories (see chart below)
- Already supports over $2.7 Billion in Army obligations.
- Features many Contract Holders who have cleared personnel, ready to support the federal government in a variety of positions that require access to sensitive information.
- Has already additionally extended CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business GWAC vehicles through 4/29/25. Any task orders issued can have up to a 5-year period of performance, taking clients well into FY30.
- Will assure our customers always have a NITAAC contracting vehicle that accommodates their needs while CIO-SP4 is awarded and onboarded.
NITAAC will do whatever it takes to assure our customers always have a NITAAC vehicle that can handle their requirements. While we hope we can avoid another extension, we are prepared to get one if circumstances dictate. Please check with us before making any comparable IT obligations.
How NITAAC has helped the Army maintain readiness.
When you look through the Army's Task and Delivery Orders listed here, you’ll see that NITAAC has supported a wide variety of IT requirements. In addition to the awards the Army has made, the Defense Department has obligated over $9 Billion on our contracting vehicles. You’ll also see that our Contract Holders have the ability to work on CONUS and OCONUS projects. NITAAC GWACs are the ones to call for:
- Meeting all of your information technology needs in one place with NITAAC GWACs: CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business for IT Services/Solutions and CIO-CS for IT Commodities/Solutions
- Purchasing commonly used commodities with Government-Wide Strategic Solutions (GSS), a subset of CIO-CS that meets all category management tiers and goals
- Getting help from Assisted Acquisitions with the lowest fee (2% of total obligation)
- Getting free Technical Assessments on every task order, turned around with suggestions and comments in only 2 business days
- Using NITAAC’s Electronic Government Ordering System (e-GOS) to meet Fair Opportunity requirements, order more easily and get 3-5 responses on most orders
- Using downselects and other creative contracting methods under FAR Subpart 16.505 to streamline competition, save money and make ordering much faster and easier
