Since NITAAC was founded in 1996 as part of the NIH, our organization has supported the contracts that support health personnel, hospitals and clinics and the information systems it takes to run them. We have a deeper understanding of your mission than, arguably, any other federal entity. That becomes increasingly important as you strive to: 1. Deliver great outcomes through 2. a medically ready force of 3. satisfied patients and 4. fulfilled staff at over 400 hospitals and clinics serving the Army, Navy and Air Force here and abroad. As DHA hospitals’ have established agreements with GSA, NITAAC is prepared to act as a supplement to that agreement. Through Task Area 1, all of our Contract Holders are required to have a past performance in Health Information Technology (HIT). This requirement works to the benefit of DHA as in January of 2023, the Department of Defense issued a mandate to first award to small businesses. CIO-SP3 Small Business and CIO-CS offers a pool of over 300 contract holders in the five socioeconomic categories of 1. Small Business (SB), 2. Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), 3. Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), 4. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and 5. 8(a) organizations.
