Event overview:
The Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Alliance was created in response to Executive Order 13985 Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Undeserved Communities through the Federal Government.
The mission of the SDB Alliance is for the HHS OSDBU, industry, HHS operating- and staff-divisions and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to address barriers to SDB firms and to provide recommendations which promote the increased utilization of SDBs in HHS contracts. More specifically, the goals of the Alliance are as follows:
1. To educate small disadvantaged businesses on how to successfully navigate the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS);
2. To educate the HHS acquisition workforce on small disadvantaged businesses;
3. To foster relationships between SDBs and HHS other than small primes; and
4. To recognize successfully performing SDBs.
