Since the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) was founded in 1996 as part of the Clinger-Cohen Act and became an executive agent of the Office of Management and Budget, the NIH has used our Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) across its 27 Institutes and Centers (ICs) for thousands of information technology (IT) acquisitions. In fact, as part of the federal acquisition arm of NIH, you’d be hard pressed to find an IC who hasn’t used NITAAC through one of its many contract iterations.
