DENCOM provides programming, database administration, requirements analysis, system interface support, information assurance, HIPAA compliance, documentation management, configuration management, Tier 1, 2, and 3 helpdesk support to the CDS suite of applications, integration of emerging technologies, lifecycle management support, and other support to DENCOM CDS applications under development. Our support is worldwide, with sites including Osan, Republic of Korea; Landsthul, Germany; Honolulu, Hawaii; and the national capital region, Washington D.C.

Refine and manage the NHIN architecture, which is a specific network architecture that realizes health information interoperability specifications based on open standards. Provide strategic, technical, and programmatic advice to the ONC in the areas of health information technology interoperability protocols, architectural patterns, infrastructure, and operational considerations. Provide assistance in eliciting, prioritizing, and establishing architectural requirements, along with analysis, design, and guidance. Manage, plan, and develop architectural activities.

Govplace partner IntelliDyne is in its eighth year and 3rd contract renewal providing a full range of IT support services for more than 2,800 users of the TMA community nationwide. IntelliDyne answers over 34,000 Help Desk calls per year, manages over 18,000 IT assets, tracks over 100,000 documents, hosts over 1.6 million Web pages and maintains over 200,000, manages 60 applications, hosts over 175 servers, monitors over 250 VTC meetings a month, delivers training courses to over 80 HA/TMA employees a month, and provides C&A and HIPAA compliance audits.

Govplace partner Ariadne provides NCI and thousands of other clients, including eight of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, with a best of class bioinformatics software suite for pathway analysis and natural language processing of biologic research data called Pathway Studio®. Pathway Studio allows NCI researchers to rapidly extract relevant facts and relationships from large document collections and build focused knowledge bases. The extracted knowledge is used in an interactive scaffold for defining and testing in silico-based hypotheses across a wide range of disciplines.

Govplace designed and successfully piloted a HIPAA and FIPS 140-2 complaint solution for NINDS, which allowed healthcare researchers and administrative staff to work with and protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) while connecting to NIH systems from non-NIH devices. The solution development was offered through ECS III at a significant discount and as planned, the solution allows users to work remotely from any PC or laptop without risking PII.

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) first designed and developed VMS for Medicare Part B in 1979 and has continued to maintain and enhance the system for over 30 years. VMS, a large, complex system containing approximately 8,500 elements and over 2 million lines of code, is the standard Medicare system for all DMEPOS claims. GDIT HIT supports four VMS quarterly releases each year with over 10,000 development hours for each release.

The Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) of 2003 established a prescription drug benefit to subsidize the cost of prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries, which went into effect January 1, 2006. In 2005, CMS selected General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) to design, develop, validate and implement DDPS. GDIT HIT continues to successfully support DDPS, and has expanded its role to encompass significant support for data analysis and reporting.

In June 2010, HHS awarded General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) the ERRP contract. ERRP provides reimbursement to participating employment-based plans for a portion of the costs of health benefits for early retirees and early retirees’ spouses, surviving spouses, and dependents. Within the first week after contract award, GDIT HIT stood up the application processing, payment processing, internal controls, electronic data interchange, and program management operations for the system.

Force 3 was awarded a 3 year, Annual in Advance Cisco SMARTnet maintenance contract with NIH that is managed and supported by Force 3’s Customer Advocacy Team. Knowledge of when Cisco gear will become end-of-life and proactively communicating this allows our customer to better forecast procurement costs as well as resource needs for implementation. With exact dates provided for each Cisco technology suite, NIH/CIT can successfully prioritize which Cisco gear will be refreshed based on utilization and cost.

Digicon Corporation is providing the Bar Code Enabled Automated Point of Care Technology solution to the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. This solution strives to improve patient safety at the point of care through positive patient identification and accurate collection times for therapeutic studies and research protocols. The solution also helps to decrease the risk of patient misidentifications and vulnerabilities in the labeling of laboratory specimens and the administration of medications and blood transfusions.
